What is the GAPS?

GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome when symptoms primarily affect the brain (like anxiety, depression, brain fog), and Gut and Physiology Syndrome when symptoms affect the body (like autoimmunity, allergies, joint pain, or skin conditions).

The GAPS Nutritional Protocol stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome / Gut and Physiology Syndrome, a dietary and lifestyle approach designed to heal and seal the gut lining while restoring microbial balance.

Developed by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, GAPS focuses on using nutrient-dense, easily digestible foods—such as meat broth, fermented foods, and healthy fats—to repair gut damage that contributes to neurological, autoimmune, and digestive disorders.

The Gut Health Workshop is an educational workshop that explains gut health through a systems-based lens, helping participants understand digestion, immunity, inflammation, and food reactivity without fear or overwhelm.
